Palm Cottage is a stunning octagonal shaped studio, offering a luxurious and practical design ideal for Caribbean style living. The cottage is light and airy, is furnished to the highest of standards and has a stunning solid timber vaulted roof which gives the studio an enticing, spacious and cool atmosphere. Measuring approximately 8m (26′) wide and with a large covered veranda on the front, this accommodation is the perfect choice for two people wanting the luxury, privacy and space that your own cottage provides. 

A super king size bed complete with luxurious mattress is positioned centrally in the room and ample seating, cupboard and storage space is close at hand. Egyptian cotton bed linens, pillow choices including natural feather pillows, robes, pool and beach towels are all supplied as standard. A spacious en-suite toilet and shower room leads from the living area and a complimentary range of luxury bathroom towel sets and premium organic toiletries are provided.

Palm Cottage is very private, offers easy access and is positioned just a few steps down from our car parking area (20 steps in total). The cottage is on the same level as the Gazebo and the pool patio area and a short walk through lush tropical gardens, 3 steps and around 30m (100’) away, will take you to the stunning Infinity Pool.

Large Private Veranda

Two cane and rattan armchairs provide a very comfortable seating area and the panoramic views looking through 24′ of glass fronted patio doors are absolutely breathtaking. The large and private veranda has a bistro dining table and chairs allowing you to dine Al fresco style and enjoy the ambience of the outside environment.

The views from the veranda are spectacular and look directly over Admiralty Bay and the Caribbean Sea, Port Elizabeth, the surrounding natural forested hills and the mountains of St Vincent.

The well laid out kitchen has a sink unit, 2 burner gas hob, full size fridge with freezer compartment, combination microwave oven and grille, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, Moka expresso maker, blender and a comprehensive range of high quality cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. An ice bucket is supplied and complimentary ice is available from the Pool Bar or the housekeeping staff.

In-house entertainment

The latest HD 49” flat screen Smart TV gives access to our in-house entertainment system supplying high definition films, TV, music and Internet radio. The television is positioned to allow viewing from both the comfort of your bed and the armchair seating area. Wi Fi is available throughout Tropical Hideaway and USB charging points are provided for your convenience.

A quality ceiling fan is positioned over the bed and for those really hot days when the cooling Caribbean wind has taken a rest, you can turn on the air conditioner until the breeze returns.

All windows are fully screened and patio doors have sliding insect screens allowing you to have the doors and windows open and still enjoy the ambience of outdoor living without getting bitten. We take very seriously our guests health and having a fully screened and mosquito free environment is an important consideration when choosing your holiday accommodation. You can sleep soundly at Tropical Hideaway safe in the knowledge that there are no biting insects or mosquito’s in your room.

The Infinity Pool is a stunning feature of the property and with the environmentally friendly solar heating, the pool can be enjoyed at all times of the year. Typically our daytime pool temperatures are around 33 deg C in summer and 29 deg C in winter. That’s an amazing 94 deg F falling to a very inviting 84 deg F in winter. The extra 3 degrees C created by our solar heating can make an enormous difference to your enjoyment of the pool.

We loved every moment spent there!
A truly amazing experience!!! My husband and I went and stayed in the palm cottage and everything about it was perfect! It was somehow comfy, homie, special, and luxurious all at the same time. Clearly so much love and thought has gone into every element of the tropical hideaway! We loved every second we spent there!

The location and amenities were perfect for us! It was the perfect balance of active adventure and relaxing luxury (this can really be adjusted by person depending on what you are looking for). There is amazing stair case bringing you down to the main road which was then a short walk to one of 3 amazing beaches and from one of the beaches you can walk right into town. After a long day of beaching and exploring, we would come back up the stairs and relax by the most beautiful incredible pool!! The little store on site had everything we needed whether that be snacks, items to make dinner, a pre made dinner, or martins amazing rum punch! We also opted in to the breakfast which was delicious, I Highly recommend!!

Memories for a lifetime
We had the pleasure of staying in the Palm Cottage at Tropical Hideaway, and it was truly the highlight of our honeymoon. Arriving at this peaceful oasis in Bequia felt like stepping into a true slice of paradise. The Palm Cottage was stunning! Private, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a luxurious and relaxing stay. The panoramic views of the bay from our terrace, along with the infinity pool (the most jaw dropping one we've ever seen), made it feel like we had our own little haven.

We had spent the first half of our honeymoon at the new Sandals on St Vincent, but only realized what true paradise is after arriving at Tropical Hideaway! Most of our days here were spent enjoying a drink in the infinity pool and then taking a quick trek down to Princess Margaret Beach. There are no worries here.

Magical memories made here!
We were stunned at the beauty Tropical Hideaway offers. This is by far the best place we have ever stayed. From the amazingly personal greeting and tour of the property and our lodging to the gorgeous flora and fauna everywhere, there was a huge wow factor at every turn. We were delighted to find a wide variety of treats in our room to start us out. The on-premises store was beyond well stocked. We loved that we could buy more of Martin’s Rum Punch. After we enjoyed some as our welcome drink, we felt it was truly the best we have ever had… a perfectly balanced mixture! We stayed in the Palm Cottage, and it was SO perfect. Our private deck looking out to the bay was a dream to enjoy every day and every evening. The infinity pool always inspired a sigh. We popped into the pool several times a day, early mornings, afternoons post beach fun, and in the evenings. Just magical.

We had originally only planned to stay for three nights, but right away we knew we would regret not staying longer, and our wonderful hosts helped us change our travel plans and we were able to extend our stay to five nights. The level of personal interaction and attention to our needs was outstanding. We have never been cared for in such a friendly, inviting way. A huge thank you to Liz and Greg, who were our hosts during our stay. Martin and Julie were traveling abroad, and they left their treasured Hideaway in great hands. The staff here are delightful… warm and caring.

I can’t recommend this gem enough. Visit Bequia and stay at the Tropical Hideaway. The logistics for traveling to Bequia are a tad bit tricky, but totally do-able. My husband and I will treasure the time we spent here, all the years of our lives.

Exquisite luxury boutique eco-resort for couples
We loved the stunning view from Palm Cottage nestled in the mountain-side 500 feet above Admiralty Bay. Its veranda is my favorite place on Earth to work remote surrounded by sunshine, warm breezes, quiet, nature, and a view of 300 sailboats moored in the bay. Martin and Julie have perfected every detail of the property, accommodations, recommendations, hospitality, and service after 3 decades of literally building the resort from scratch. Their story is part of the attraction and we were fascinated. They connected us to locals who shared authentic Bequia culture, history, food, snorkeling spots, and a boat tour of a unique eco-community we had an interest in. They even loaned us a wonderful book on local history that we read. Their local staff were extremely friendly and helpful and appear to take pride in their island, the resort, the services provided. We walked to 4 world-class pristine beaches and 4 fabulous restaurants from the resort on nature trails and roads using a taxi most nights to return after dark. After eating a delicious breakfast at the resort the first day, we decided to eat breakfast there everyday. We got wine, snacks and extras at the on site store. The vibe at the resort and everywhere on the island was relaxed, friendly, casual, calm, and unpretentious. We always felt safe. This was a romantic third honeymoon for us and will we be back because there is so much more to see and do such as excursions to explore the other Grenadine islands.
